Thanks Is Not Enough

Any organisation, whether it is a multi-national corporation or a small community body, is only as good as the people who work in it, and the Trust has been very lucky over the years with the folk who have volunteered to serve as Trustees. Two of these have recently decided that they need to move on and have therefore, to our regret, resigned from the Board. Both have contributed greatly during their time as Trustees, and both have departed quietly and without fanfare - very much in keeping with their gentle and quiet personalities.

Clare Stroud had been a Trustee since 2012 and has made a tremendous contribution since that time, particularly in organising and supervising the adjudication process as well as bearing her share of the work of a Trustee at our meetings and elsewhere. As an artist herself, her opinions and suggestions have always been especially valuable.

Sarah Thornton-Smith has also been able to bring a useful perspective as an artist/designer since she joined us in 2018, as well as sharing governance perspectives gained during her time on the Treetops School Board.

The Board of Trustees, and indeed the Mundaring arts community, is greatly in their debt, and will shall miss them. We are very grateful to all they have done, and wish them both well in their future endeavours.

Fortunately we have been able to secure the services of a couple of worthy successors. For news on that, watch this space!
