Each year the Robert Juniper Award for the Arts offers a scholarship of up to $10,000 to a creative practitioner under 35 who has strong ties to the Shire of Mundaring. The Award supports Visual, Performing and Conceptual Artists and is intended to help recipients advance their artistic goals.
Eligibility
Applicants must be under 35 years of age at the time of application.
Applicants must demonstrate a significant connection to the Mundaring Shire.
Open to artists working in visual, performing or conceptual disciplines.
Applications must be presubmitted by 14 August of each year.
Award
Scholarship value: up to $10,000.
Award purpose: to provide financial support that assists artists in developing their practice, producing work, or pursuing creative opportunities that move them closer to their artistic ambitions.
How to apply
Interested artists should prepare an application that outlines their practice, proposed use of funds and evidence of their association with the Mundaring Shire.
Applications are assessed annually; prospective applicants should submit materials by the advertised closing date.
Selection
A selection panel reviews submissions and selects the recipient based on artistic merit, the strength of the application, and the applicant’s connection to the local community.
